The Study

The new study is really exciting and offers some promising results. A group of 150 women with luteal phase defect were involved in the study. These are women who are experiencing difficulty getting pregnant because the time between ovulation and menstruation was not enough time for the egg to implant.

Regardless of knowing when do you ovulate, the luteal phase needs to be long enough! One group was given nothing at all. The other group, however, received 750 mg of vitamin C each day. The results were actually pretty astounding… The vitamin C group had an increase in progesterone levels, while the nothing group, had well, nothing.

And, get this: 11 percent of women in the untreated group were pregnant within six months.. What about the vitamin c group? Well, in that group, the number jumped to 25 percent! What an exciting find this study has made! Those numbers are comparable to the success rate of IVF!

How To Get Vitamin C

If you are ready to increase your intake of vitamin C, there are tons of different ways. Of course, you can always buy an over the counter vitamin supplement in pill form to take, but there are a ton of yummy foods that you can eat to get your fill of vitamin C.
