It’s a topic that many women don’t want to discuss, whether it’s during pregnancy or after. However, Vanessa Lachey is being brave, opening up and revealing to the world that she gained a whopping 65 pounds while she was pregnant with her baby boy Camden! The revelation is a welcome one to all pregnant and new moms. It reiterates the fact that women should not worry too much about the pregnancy weight, and should enjoy that special time in their lives instead. Claim Your 20 Free Pregnancy Tests – Click Here
Vanessa recently opened up in an interview with HuffPost Live, revealing her weight gain secret.
“I gained, I think, 65 pounds when I was pregnant,” Lachey revealed in a June 19 interview with HuffPost Live. “And I will say to moms out there, ‘Don’t stress about losing it. It will happen when it happens.’ Cam’s 9 months, so it’s been a minute, and we’re working, and we’re traveling, and it’s just about maintaining a happy, healthy lifestyle, not obsessing about it.”
“I think that’s one thing I would like to convey to moms everywhere,” she continued. “It’s not about this ‘get skinny quick’ diet or these fads. Just enjoy time being a mom. You’ve just had this wonderful, magical moment, and you shouldn’t be stressing about that kind of stuff”.
Vanessa also (sort of) jokingly told us all her real secret! “Spanx are amazing,” she joked. “Thank you to the inventor of that.” Isn’t that something that all of us can agree with? Vanessa says that now that Camden is nine months, Nick is on tour with 98 Degrees, Boys II Men and New Kids on the Block, and Vanessa is working on the tv show Wipeout as the host, she needs all the help she can get. Now that is something that every new mom can understand!
Even though their little guy is not even a year old yet, Vanessa and Nick are most certainly planning on adding to their family as soon as possible. “We’re married, and I believe we’ve established a great foundation as a couple and now as parents,” Lachey teased, “so when two and three and maybe four roll around, we’ll be ready for them.” I have to say, it is so refreshing to see a young, beautiful celebrity mom who isn’t obsessed with being super skinny two minutes after giving birth! More power to you, Vanessa!
