New research is now emerging that trans fats can be detrimental to women who are trying to conceive as well.

We all know by now that trans fats are bad for us, for a multitude of reasons. We know trans fats can cause heart disease, high blood pressure, and obesity, among other health issues. That’s not all, though. New research is now emerging that trans fats can be detrimental to women who are trying to conceive as well. Here’s the scoop on why: Claim Your 20 Free Pregnancy Tests – Click Here

Trans fats make you well…Fat

Trans fats have long been known to contribute to obesity. They are found in junk foods, snack foods, and fast food all around us, and it is often hard to resist these tasty foods. However, trans fats can lead to obesity, which can in turn cause problems when trying to conceive. This is because being overweight has a negative effect on both male and female fertility.

Trans fats mess up body chemistry

We all know how important body chemistry and hormones are in fertility. Eating a diet high in trans fats can interfere with body chemistry and make the body more resistant to insulin. When the body becomes resistant to insulin, it makes it extremely hard for pregnancy to occur.

Trans fats make PCOS worse

For women who suffer from PCOS, or Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome, the effects of eating trans fats can make the disease even worse. Trans fats can mess with insulin sensitivity, blood glucose levels, and metabolism. For women who are already suffering with the difficult effects of PCOS, eating a diet high in trans fats can be a double whammy for them, and make it even harder to conceive.

Trans fats can affect ovulation

Too many trans fats in the diet can have negative inflammatory effects on the body. These inflammatory effects can interfere with normal ovulation, making it harder for a woman to get pregnant. If a woman is not ovulating regularly, there is little chance that she will able to get pregnant, unless she has medical assistance.

Trans fats are everywhere

If you are trying to avoid trans fats, or just cut back on them, it can be surprisingly hard. You might already know that trans fats are found in foods like cookies and chips, but they can be found in many foods that might also surprise you. They are found in baked goods such as cookies, cakes, and pies, but also in butter, margarine, and salad dressings. They are even found in breakfast cereals, candy, and animal products like meat, eggs and cheese. It can be overwhelmingly hard to cut them out of your diet altogether, but it is worth it if you can try!

It is best that you have sexual intercourse 2 to 3 days before your ovulation, since this period is considered to be your most fertile days. In addition, you should try to initially consult your ObGyn to find out if you’re experiencing any infertility issues or hormonal imbalances that keeps you from conceiving.
