Make Time For Nap Time

We all know how much worse stress can seem when you are tired, and when you’re pregnant, you’re always tired! If you are feeling stressed or overwhelmed during your pregnancy, try to take as many naps as possible. We learned it in preschool, naps make everything better!

Work It Out

Now, you might not be able to do some super intense workout video during your pregnancy, but that is no reason to stop being active completely! Getting your regular exercise can be a great stress reliever. The best exercises for stress relief? Go for a walk, take a swim, or do some yoga. Also try to learn some deep breathing exercises.

Give Yourself A Break

Don’t try to stay on top of everything during your pregnancy. Acknowledge that you might possibly need a little more rest while your pregnant, and let a few things slide. Does it really matter if all the laundry gets done, or if your house is spotless? It doesn’t, so get some rest!

Say No

If you were a “yes girl” before you got pregnant, this one might be especially hard for you! Let everyone know that you are not going to be able to do everything for everyone while you are pregnant! Learn to say no, and only take on what you can handle!

Less Is More

Don’t watch every “baby story” on TV. Don’t Google every possible pregnancy complication and childhood disease. Don’t buy every single baby gadget on the market. Don’t listen to friends and every complete stranger tell you their labor and delivery horror stories. A little info is great. Too much info will stress you out to no end!

Eat Well

Junk food can make you feel crappy when you’re not pregnant, and they can make you feel even worse when you are pregnant! Make sure your diet is well balanced, healthy and consistent. Your body needs the energy that good food gives you!

Get Pampered

When you’re pregnant, you deserve a little pampering! Go for a manicure or pedicure, get your hair done, have a prenatal massage, treat yourself to a pretty maternity dress or go see a movie all on your own. Give yourself a little pampering time and you will feel less stressed instantly!
