The beautiful wedding was definitely a star studded affair. A ton of NeNe’s current and former Real Housewives of Atlanta costars showed up to the event, including Kim Zolciak, Phaedra Parks, Portia Stewart, Kandi Burruss and Lisa Wu, as well as other Real Housewives stars from other shows, like Slade Smiley and Gretchen Rossi from Real Housewives of Orange County. Millionaire Matchmaker Patti Stanger and Real Housewives Of New York star Jill Zarin and her husband Bobby were also on hand.
The wedding was an extravagant and lavish affair, with NeNe wearing a beautiful white gown with gold accents. The bridesmaids, who included Cynthia Bailey and Marlo Hampton, also wore white gowns, designed by Gabriella Arango. The ceremony was small and intimate, but the reception was packed to the gills with friends, family and guests. Attendees were treated to ravioli, shrimp, crab, greens, salmon, ravioli, pasta, and much more! The cake is said to have been HUGE, a full ten layers high! It sounds amazing!
One thing present throughout both the ceremony and reception was NeNe’s signature sense of humor that she brings to everything. One guest revealed: “When they did the part about ‘in sickness and in health, for richer or for poorer,’ NeNe said, ‘For richer and for richer!’ Everyone started laughing,” the source reveals. “She never said poorer!” Glad to see that NeNe still has her sense of humor!
The wedding marks a fresh start for NeNe and Greg. The couple divorced in 2011 after thirteen years of marriage, and their blow outs were captured for the Bravo cameras all along the way. Gregg claimed that he had invested over $300,000 in NeNe’s fledging acting career, and he said that fame went to her head, as she went from Real Housewives to bigger acting gigs like “Glee” and the now-canceled NBC sitcom “The New Normal.” However, the couple reconciled and announced their engagement in January. We wish this couple nothing but the best, and hope that the second time is the charm!
