It turns out, things with Kourtney’s pregnancy weren’t exactly how they seemed after all. The brunette beauty revealed during the most recent episode of KUWTK, that she knew that she was pregnant for more than 4 weeks before she finally let the cat out of the bag. It turns out that Kourtney found out she was pregnant back in March, but she kept it a secret until after her birthday on April 18.
Kourtney was nervous about her longtime boyfriend Scott’s reaction to the pregnancy news, and for good reason. After his mother’s death last November and his father’s unexpected death in January, Scott, 31, had been through a serious bout of depression, and was still not acting like himself.
In fact, when Kourtney finally broke the news to Scott after she had known about her pregnancy for several weeks, he was still not too excited about it. In the preview for the episode, Kourtney had already expressed concerns about telling Scott she was expecting again, saying “I definitely had to build up the courage to tell Scott because he’s just been super depressed, so I just don’t want to set him off.”
On the latest episode of KUWTK, we saw Kourtney ask Scott to come in and shut the door where she was folding laundry in the kid’s bedroom. “I just wanted to tell you that I’m pregnant”, Kourtney confessed. Scott was more than a little bit freaked out to hear the news, saying “You just keep suckering me into these kids.
I can’t handle this responsibility. I just can’t take care of more kids.” It was clear that Scott was definitely not feeling the idea of more babies. The recent loss of his parents coupled with more parental responsibility was definitely a little overwhelming for him at the time.
As the episode continued, Scott talked more about his depression and how he was dealing with the loss of his parents. Kourtney suggested they visit the Hamptons for the summer, where Scott’s parents had lived. This was also met with some sadness as Scott expressed that he felt that it was “too late” to enjoy a summer there now that his parents were gone.
The couple eventually were able to talk through their issues, and they moved to the Hamptons to spend the summer while Kourtney and Khloe film their spinoff reality show. Scott’s final comments on the matter? “I’m scared, yes, about having another child, and I definitely didn’t take it the right way, but God willing, like every other child I’ve had, they’ve become amazing and blessings in my life. I just need to think of the positives, relax, and enjoy the third time around.”
