They may not be in the double digits yet, but Josh and Anna Duggar are well on their way to following in the footsteps of Josh’s famous parents, Michelle and JimBob. Josh and Anna’s third child, another boy, named Marcus Anthony Duggar, arrived on Sunday, June 2, 2013. Claim Your 20 Free Pregnancy Tests – Click Here
Baby Marcus joins sister Mackynzie, 3, and little brother Michael, who is now almost two. That makes three kids in almost three years for Josh and Anna, who star on the reality show “19 Kids and Counting“. Josh is the oldest of JimBob and Michelle Duggar’s 19 kids, and the only one who is married and out of the house with a family of their own.
“We are so excited to announce the arrival of our third child, Marcus Anthony Duggar. Mackynzie and Michael are thrilled to welcome a little brother and we are so thankful that mom and baby are well!” the couple said in a statement to TODAY.com. “We are blessed to have our family close as we celebrate this gift from God!”
Everyone wondered if Josh and Anna were going to follow in JimBob and Michelle’s footsteps when they got married in 2008, both in the number of kids they decided to have, and whether or not they chose a certain letter for their children’s baby names. (All of JimBob and Michelle’s kids have names that start with the letter “J”.) Well, it looks like Josh and Anna are going to have a big family as well, and they are indeed following in the naming tradition, going with “M” names for their three kiddos.
JimBob and Michelle aren’t necessarily leaving the baby having up to the younger generation. While they are already parents to nineteen, they have expressed wishes to continue to expand their family. Baby #19, Josie, was born more than two months premature, and endured some serious health issues and a long hospital stay. Michelle had a miscarriage after that, when she was pregnant with baby #20, who would have been named Jubilee. The family is thinking about adoption, however, and trying to decide if they would like to go in that direction.
“We’re praying about if the Lord would want us to adopt,” Michelle said. Jim Bob added, “We have set up our home to be designed for taking care of children. We love children, and we really believe every child is a special gift from God.”
