Having twins means that there are many concerns that come along with the delivery process.

Getting pregnant with twins means that there are many concerns that come along with the delivery process. One of those concerns involved whether the twins will be able to be born naturally or if a C-section is required. This will depend on a number of factors. If the babies are able to be born vaginally, there are also some concerns regarding how long it will take for both twins to be born. After twin A is born, it can take some time for the second twin to be delivered as well. In fact, it is difficult to say just how long that it will take for the second twin to be delivered.

One reason that it is difficult to determine how long it will take for both twins to be born is because of the possible positions of the twins. For example, each twin may either be facing head down or be in breech. Their exact position will determine how long that it will take for them both to be born.

In order to keep both the twins and the mother safe during the delivery process, it is common for twins to be electively born at around 38 weeks of a pregnancy. This allows doctors to have a bit more control over what happens during delivery and the time that it takes for both twins to be born.
