The couple, who met in an online chat room more than nine years ago, tied the knot last weekend in a Cinco De Mayo wedding in their Georgia backyard. Rumor has it that the couple already married awhile ago, and this was just a re-commitment ceremony, but nobody from Mama June’s camp is confirming that.
Mama June was not your normal blushing bride marching down the aisle in a fancy white gown. Instead, the couple opted for a brighter and more unique look, with both Mama June and Sugar Bear wearing camouflage and bright orange.
Even the hired help for the event were advised to wear either camouflage or hot pink outfits to fit in with the scene. Best part of the day? The couple’s 4 girls, (seven year old Honey Boo Boo and her older sisters, Chickadee, Chubs, and Pumpkin), also got to take part in the festivities. Mama June told People Magazine:
“The day was very special mostly because my girls were able to take part in it,” June told People. “I felt like it was important for them to see this moment and celebrate my love for Sugar Bear.
Awww! Mama June went on to tell People that she always tells her girls to never settle for a man who doesn’t treat them right, and that’s why it was so important to her that the girls see her and Sugar Bear tie the knot!
Don’t worry if you missed all the fun! Rumor has it, cameras for TLC were rolling during the event, and we all know what that means. We’ll probably be seeing Mama June and Sugar Bear’s wedding in an upcoming TLC special.
Adding to the rumor that the event will be shown on TLC, the couple’s invitations explicitly state that no cameras, cell phones, or video cameras would be allowed to be brought into the event by guests. Be sure to be on the lookout for this shindig on TLC!
We hear there was a “Just Married” four wheeler send off, a camo cake, and even a pig! Yep, that’s right! A full-on pig roast was what’s for dinner, and guests were sent on their way with candles, hunting knives, and wine glasses made from mason jars! Sounds like a good time to us!
