Fertility issues do not depend on any one gender

Know that fertility issues do not depend on any one gender entirely. In fact, they are evenly matched. In 40% of the cases, the female is responsible and the male is responsible in equal number of cases. Thus the beam is evenly balanced. In the remaining 20% of the cases, both the partners have fertility problems. Many people think that only females have fertility issues and thus, if they have a problem getting pregnant, only the woman takes the tests. Thus if she comes out clean, they are in a dilemma about the cause. This is the reason why both partners should be tested for fertility in case of conception issues.

Take the test again

Male fertility problems are restricted to low sperm count [the most common problem], low sperm motility, and abnormal sperm. Fertility tests usually detect these problems with ease but if you come clean and yet face problems getting your partner pregnant, it is ideal to take the test again just to be sure.

Reasons behind female infertility

Female fertility problems are diverse. There may be numerous different reasons behind female infertility including age, ovulation problems, damaged fallopian tubes, blocked tubes, etc. These are just a few of the many problems relating to female infertility. Sometimes any of these might slip fertility tests. For example, a hormone test is not enough. You may need a CT scan too just be sure. A hormone test will not detect a problem with the uterus or the fallopian tube. You will need a CT scan or some other type of scan. Hence, it so happens that you don’t undergo all the tests and come out clean in the few tests that you take. This can also lead you to think that everything is normal.

One main reason behind pregnancy issues even though you have no fertility problems is stress. Stress can bring you down in more ways than one and affecting your fertility is one such way. If both partners get normal results and are still facing problems with conception, there are high chances that the problem is stress. If you stress too much regularly and keep facing stress at a regular basis such as financial stress, relationship stress, family issues, and so on, you will face fertility problems. In order to calm yourself, you should follow a healthy lifestyle and exercise. Include yoga and meditation in your daily routine to ward off some stress. You can also get massages and spa treatments for stress relief. The choice is yours.

Wrong timing

Another reason behind not getting pregnant is wrong timing. Even though you are fertile, if you don’t time it right, you will face problems. You should have intercourse from two days prior to ovulation or during ovulation to increase your chances. Track your ovulation so you know when the right time is.

Even after all this if you face problems, talk to your healthcare provider to work out a solution.
