A pop diva known for being private, and for keeping her personal life, well, personal, Beyonce recently stepped out of her comfort zone and opened up to Oprah about several different important topics in her life. Right before her HBO documentary “Life Is But A Dream” aired, the singing superstar sat down with Oprah as a guest on her show, “Oprah’s Next Chapter“. Claim Your 20 Free Pregnancy Tests – Click Here
The interview is just another indication of the “new” Beyonce that we have been seeing lately. This year, Bey has been more open with the media, her fans, and even the paparazzi. We were all very curious to see what the dynamic would be like between these two. The pair seemed like old friends, laughing, joking and chatting together, even when the cameras were off.
One hot topic that everyone couldn’t wait to see how Bey would answer was if she wanted more babies now that she has baby Blue Ivy. She says that she definitely wants another baby, and we may be seeing her pregnant again sooner rather than later! “I definitely want another child. After this next tour, maybe I’ll have another baby.” Beyonce told Oprah! Oh, that is super exciting, that means a baby brother or sister for Blue Ivy might not be too far off!
Bey really opened up when she talked to Oprah about her hubby Jay Z. She tells Oprah that not only does she love him, but he has also been such an inspiration and a source of guidance and advice for her. “I would not be the woman I am if I did not go home to that man. And it just gives me such a foundation.” He’s helped her “on so many levels,” she says.
Beyonce adds, ”We were friends first for a year and a half before we went on any dates. We were on the phone for a year and a half, and that foundation is so important for a relationship. Just to have someone who you just like is so important, and someone [who] is honest.” She also says of Jay Z “the Dad”, that he is a “completely different human being”.
It’s no secret that Bey and her dad have had a bit of a strained relationship over the last few years. Bey’s dad left his job when Bey was a teenager to become her manager for “Destiny’s Child”. When Bey turned 18, she tried to take over more control where her career was concerned, but her dad continued to pressure her to do things she didn’t want to do.
Finally, back in 2009, Queen B chose to let her dad go as her manager. This was during a very tumultuous time for Beyonce and her dad. Her parents filed for divorce in 2009, when it was discovered that he had had an affair which resulted in a baby boy. It’s no secret that the relationship between the two is strained as a result, and it was nice to see Beyonce open up about something so difficult for her.
Beyonce’s interview with Oprah was interesting, although it seemed rehearsed and Bey still seemed extremely guarded at times. It is nice, however, to see her begin to open up a little bit and let a little more of her true self shine through.
