Not only can an ovulation calculator predict your most fertile days, but it can also predict your new baby's birthday. How cool is that!?

Now an ovulation calculator is basically, exactly what it sounds like. It calculates ovulation for you, thus, taking out all the hard work.

When do you ovulate?

So, typically, a textbook cycle is 28 days, and you subtract back about 14 days, to show that you ovulate on cycle day 14. Women will ovulate once per monthly cycle, roughly mid-way through their cycle. Knowing when you ovulate is a key component in getting pregnant fast, as your fertile window is only a few days surrounding your ovulation date. Even if you have intercourse all throughout the month, if you miss these few days around the day you ovulate, you will never fall pregnant. Claim Your 20 Free Pregnancy Tests – Click Here

Not every woman has a luteal phase of 14 days – luteal phase being from the time of ovulation to the start of your next cycle. The luteal phase can range anywhere from 12-16 days. I personally have a longer one. My average is sixteen days. So I would subtract sixteen days from the last day of my cycle, rather than the average 14 days. Now, if all of this sounds like more trouble than you really want to go through, then you want to try the ovulation calculator.

Here is how it works

It is really quite simple. There are only two things that you need to have. You need to know the first day of your last period, which mine was June 6, and then you need to know your average cycle length. Now mine is 31 days. This would be the average length from Day 1 of your period until your next period begins. For the average woman, this would be 28 days. Average cycle length can vary though, and range from 25-41 days or so. Take a look at your calendar and note how long your average cycle is. So when I go to plug in this information, it tells me what my fertile days are, and if I conceive, what my due date would be. Now my fertile days would be June 20 through June 25 resulting in a possible baby birthday of next year at or around March the 16th. A possible St. Patrick’s Day baby!

Guess your due date!

Now remember, this is just an estimate of your fertile days and just an estimate of the due date if you had conceived that month. So it really helps in not only helping you find out your fertile days, and knowing when intercourse could result in a pregnancy, but also if you’re wanting to plan your baby’s birthday in a specific month, this could help you with that as well. However, keep in mind, it’s an estimate and even if you did conceive, or somebody in my position conceived this cycle, and end up with a March due date, the baby still could come in February or April because some babies really like to pick their own birthdays coming early or late. All three of mine personally came three weeks early.

So that’s all you need. First day of your last period and then your average cycle length. Have fun!

  2. Actually it is a little more complicated than that, since it is unusual for a baby to actually be born on the due date (the day the baby is 40 weeks developed). There is actually a good way to predict the birthday itself, using an app that calculates a personalized date based on your individual pregnancy history and medical history. Then the date becomes more accurate as the pregnancy progresses, and more information is added like cervical exams and even large variations in barometric pressure! You can look at it at:

Common ovarian cysts will not prevent you from getting pregnant and will typically go away on their own within 8-12 weeks. As long as you are having menstrual cycles & ovulating, then you may safely take any type of over-the-counter fertility pills. Ovulation will take place midway through your cycle. While you are unable to manipule the day you ovulate, pinpointing the exact day of ovulation by taking ovulation predictor kits (OPK) and charting your basal body temperatures will help you in timing intercourse.

On average, just over 50% of couples will get pregnant within six months, 75% within 9 months. Secondary infertility is common, and usually tied to the mother’s more advanced age. You should be charting your basal body temperatures each month, to really determine when you are ovulating to best time intercourse. Ovulation predictor kits (OPKs) are great, but you need to be consistent and have enough on hand to use until you get the positive test result. Once you have consistently been timing intercourse to the day you ovulate and had up to a year with no pregnancy, that is when it is time to seek advice from your healthcare provider.

  22. Maureen Stephens, RN says:

The timing of ovulation is complex and it depends on your how long your cycles are (they range from 21-35 days). It could be anywhere between 11-21 days since the last menstrual period (LMP), or 12-16 days from when you expect the next menstrual period to start. You can use an ovulation calculator online to help you as well. There are also other ways to tell when you are ovulating such as checking your cervical mucus and using an ovulation prediction kit (OPK). OPKs detect an increase of luteinizing hormone in your urine, which tells you that ovulation is about to happen within 24-36 hrs.

Shortly after having my son 9 1/2 years ago, I found out that I had a mild cervical cancer. During the next two years, I had two procedures done. One where they went in and burned the cancer off and then another where they cut completely around. I have been negative on my Paps since then. My husband and I have been trying to conceive the last three years and almost came close. I got pregnant last year of 2012 in September and miscarried at 6 weeks. We have been trying since then and have been unsuccessful. Do you think this product will help me to conceive based on my past?

As long as you’re ovulating and your remaining tube is in good condition, there is a good chance for you to get pregnant. It is best that you take fertility supplements such as Fertibella ConceiveEasy, Clomid and Vitex to boost your body’s fertility, and increase your chances of getting pregnant. It is also important that you increase your sexual intercourse during your fertile window, which usually occurs 4 to 5 days before your ovulation.

I had my period April 19, only lasted about 3-4 days. I usually ovulate about 5-6 days or so after period . My husband and I of course have sex right after period. A week after I had my period, I started bleeding again not heavy but it was there. Both spotting and bleeding , today is the 29 of April and I’m still kind of spotting. When I urinate I clean some blood. What does this mean? Is it my ovulating that causes me to bleed or it it that I might be pregnant?

Given that you’re still 42 years old, there is a good chance for you to get pregnant. It is best that you have sex 24 hours before ovulation and 12 hours after ovulation, employ sex positions that have deeper penetration, and try to have some orgasm to improve your likelihood of conceiving a boy. Though these natural methods can’t guarantee you of conceiving a boy, these methods are definitely considered to be effective.
