How to Test PH for Conceiving A Baby

Trying to conceive a boy? A girl? Vaginal PH testing and changing your diet to make your vagina more acidic or alkalinic, can assist when using gender prediction while trying yo conceive.

Okay, so the chances are, if you are not trying to conceive, you have never heard of vaginal PH, and you probably really don’t care about the acidity or alkalinity of your vagina. But, oh, once you start trying to conceive! The crazy things we do for babies! Well, here is the lowdown on what vaginal PH means, and how to test it. Claim Your 20 Free Pregnancy Tests – Click Here

What is vaginal PH?

Vaginal PH is either acidic or alkaline. The wives’ tales say that if your vaginal PH is more acidic, you will be more likely to have a girl, and if your vaginal PH is more alkalinic, you will be more likely to have a boy. You can test your vaginal PH at home, and if it isn’t “right” for which gender you would like to conceive, you can usually easily change it through diet. Now, of course, vaginal PH and gender determination are old wives’ tales, and there is no evidence that this actually works. However, plenty of women swear by this, and it isn’t harmful to your or your baby to be if you want to try to change your PH yourself! So, why not try it?

Where to buy PH tests

You can test your PH levels at home, and it’s super easy. You can either purchase just the test strips or a digital test kit. These are readily available online, but you should also be able to find them in your local drug store, and sometimes in a health/nutrition store in your area.

How to test PH levels

The testing process itself is super easy. All you do is gather some cervical mucus and place it on the test strip. Now, here’s what you need to know. A vaginal PH of between 4 and 4.5 is ideal for conceiving a girl, while a vaginal PH of between 7.5 to 9 is perfect for conceiving a boy (or so they say).

How to lower your PH for a girl

If you need to lower your PH to increase your chances of having a girl, you can do so by eating certain foods. Some of the foods known to lower PH include eating lots of calcium rich foods, and fruits like strawberries and raspberries. You are advised to stay away from salt, sodium rich foods, caffeine, and also alcohol if you are trying to lower your PH.

How to raise your PH for a boy

Now, on the other side of the spectrum, if you want to conceive a boy, you need to raise your PH levels. This involves increasing your salt and sodium intake and eating lots of acidic foods. You can also increase your PH levels by eating lots of acidic fruits.

The bottom line

Of course, it is important to remember that all of this PH testing and swaying for gender stuff should be done in fun, since there are no guarantees that what you are trying is going to work. If you aren’t prepared to get pregnant with a baby of either gender, you probably shouldn’t be getting pregnant, because it might not work out the way you want it to. That being said, PH testing and changing your diet, etc to affect your PH levels is not harmful, and if it is something that you want to do, go right ahead. Just don’t put all of your eggs into the PH level basket!

Wow, this is really interesting! Are there any statistics associated with taking Conceive Easy – more boys or girls? Or is it just 50/50? I’d imagine hormones can affect what gender you get too.

Most oncologists recommend waiting 2 to 5 years after cancer treatments finish before trying to achieve pregnancy. They would want to make sure that you are healthy before you try and get pregnant. Also, some cancer treatments may affect your fertility so it is best recommended that you visit your doctor and have some tests done in order to determine if you are ready to have a baby.

Except “alkaline” means the pH is more basic and the pH number on the scale would be above 7 and the more acidic one’s pH is, the lower the pH number is (below 7). It’s a backwards scale. And normal vaginal pH is between 3.8 and 4.5 (slightly acidic). First off, you said to have a girl it would have to be acidic and a boy alkaline yet the numbers were backwards, but either way, a vagin pH of greater than 4.5 is sugestive of bacterial vaginosis and is not a healthy vaginal pH whereas a pH of lower than 3.8 is suggestive of a yeast infection and is also not a healthy vaginal pH.

Gender is solely decided by the male, hormones have absolutely NOTHING to do with it.

Given that you have been trying to conceive for about two years already, there is a big possibility that you and your partner might be experiencing infertility issues. You should try to consult your fertility doctor to have your fertility check, and your husband’s sperm assessed. Through this, you can finally find out what prevents you from conceiving and have it treated immediately.

Missing your periods weeks after your IUD removal is quite normal, however; your periods will gradually regulate in time. There are no natural methods that can guarantee you of conceiving a girl; however, there are effective ways that you can make use. Knowing that you are trying to conceive for a girl, it is best that you employ sexual positions that allow shallow penetrations and you should have sexual intercourse 4 to 5 days before your ovulation. I also suggest that you avoid orgasms to improve your likelihood of conceiving a girl.

BS- cervical mucus does not work on regular urine/saliva pH test strips nor will changing your diet make your body more acidic unless you drank a glass of vinegar a day etc- something extreme

I think you have it backwards. Acidic foods would lower the pH not raise it. Therefore, to lower pH for a girl, you would consume dairy, chocolate, caffeine etc. not avoid them; you would not eat acidic foods and fruits for a boy, but more green vegetables etc.
