How to Get Pregnant With Low Progesterone

If you think that you might have low progesterone, don't be alarmed. Most of the time, low progesterone is a minor inconvenience, and can be remedied very easily.

Progesterone is one of the most important hormones in the body. It is essential for healthy pregnancies to occur, and there must be a large enough concentration in the body. If the concentration of progesterone in the body is too low, then the woman will probably experience some level of infertility or pregnancy loss. Progesterone is the hormone that is responsible for preparing the lining of the uterus for pregnancy. It also helps to maintain a healthy pregnancy. This is why it is so important to make sure that your progesterone levels are not too low. Claim Your 20 Free Pregnancy Tests – Click Here

The symptoms

The symptoms of low progesterone can be different from woman to woman and they can run the gamut from life threatening to just plain annoying. Some of the symptoms are mood swings, insomnia, depression, weight and appetite changes, anxiety, fatigue, too frequent or too irregular menstruation, low sex drive, migraines, PCOS, and painful sex issues. The symptoms do not always appear at once, and some are obviously much more bothersome than others. Low progesterone can also lead to miscarriage or trouble maintaining a healthy pregnancy, or trouble getting pregnant at all.

The diagnosis

Your doctor will probably want to do a progesterone test to determine exactly what your progesterone levels are. This is done by performing a simple blood test. This is done much like any routine blood test, so don’t be nervous if you need to have one done. Your doctor will send your blood samples to the lab to get the results. However, be aware that sometimes more than one blood sample is needed, and you might need to have blood samples drawn on more than one occasion. Your results should be available within one to two days.

The treatment

Once a diagnosis has been made, your doctor will decide what treatment method is right for you. There are progesterone creams, shots and vaginal suppositories. Usually you can take a progesterone supplement right after ovulation to boost levels. Sometimes the progesterone supplements have to be taken throughout the whole pregnancy, but sometimes they are only taken for a few weeks.

The good news

The good news is that while, without treatment, it can be hard to get pregnant with low progesterone, with treatment it is usually easily remedied. Usually most people respond very well to progesterone treatment, and it can be fixed rather quickly. Talk with your doctor to determine what the best course of treatment is for your particular case. If you think that you might have low progesterone, or if you have been diagnosed with low progesterone, don’t be alarmed. It does sound like a serious problem, and sometimes it can be. However, most of the time, low progesterone is a minor inconvenience, and can be remedied very easily.

Yes, Fertibella can help solve hormonal imbalance issues, which could explain your facial hair. The herbal contents of Fertibella have been demonstrated to specifically aid in overcoming ovulation difficulties brought about by imbalanced hormone levels by helping normalize key reproductive hormones, like progesterone, prolactin, follicle stimulating hormone (FSH), and estrogen. Going for a healthy weight will also be a great factor to combat hormonal imbalance.

I suggest to talk with a doctor, an OB Gynecologist to discuss to you the effective and safe ways on how to have successful pregnancy. A medical advice is very much important if you are planning to get pregnant. Having a healthy lifestyle, eating the right foods, saying no to smoking and alcoholic beverages are some of the helpful ideas that you can do for much easier conception.

Hi i have pcos i was recently pregnant but had a misscarrige. The doctors where telling me thay although my hcg hormones were low that they were still doubling but my progesterone levels were so low i would probably miscarry. They had prescribed me progesterone gel at some point but that didn’t do much cause the next blood test i had my hcg hormones had dropped amd weren’t doubling anymore. How can i get my progestrone up so next time when i concieve i have a better chance of not miscarrying. The doctors said i did concieve but the egg didn’t implant in my uterus i think its because of my progestrone levels being low and all the hormonal issues from pcos.

One cause of having a low progesterone level is stress because it triggers a woman’s body to produce additional cortisol and adrenaline that can diminish progesterone levels. You can take Utrogestan, a capsule that contain the active ingredient progesterone. Of course before taking this drug you may consult it with your physician.

Since you have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), you are prone to miscarriages and your progesterone levels are naturally low- making conception difficult. In order to increase your progesterone levels, I recommend you to have a daily intake of Vitamins C and
B, consume foods rich in magnesium and zinc, avoid stress, and use progesterone creams.

I have had two miscarriages in the past year. I started to see a reproductive endocrinologist who has run all sorts of tests on me. All my blood tests came back in the normal range. During my hysterosonogram he found a 1.3cm polyp/fibroid and I’m getting that surgically removed next month. My progesterone was 29.3 on cycle day 21, so he said I did ovulate. He also said he likes to see over 30 and mine was just 0.7 shy of 30. He said not to be alarmed and that it’s still in normal range. I asked for progesterone suppositories next time I get pregnant but he won’t prescribe them to me. Would OTC cream like emerita help me or should I just not worry about my progesterone? Thx!

You may want to consult a fertility specialist if you are
trying to conceive but have low progesterone levels. There are progesterone
shots and supplements you can take to boost your levels. Talk with your doctor
about the best course of treatment for you. There is nothing to be alarmed
about as this issue can be easily remedied and most women respond well to
    treatments.

This has given me so much hope for my future. I had a miscarriage about 5 months ago and have been trying without success to get pregnant for the past 3.5 months. My doctor ordered progesterone lab for me and it came back 0.4. It took me about 6-7 months to get pregnant with the baby I miscarried (8 weeks along :-( ) I am 29 yrs old, hubby is 34 and we so desperately want a family. I feel so much pressure bc we are both getting older. I am going to doctor in 10 days to see talk about progesterone options. What do you think he will tell me?

Hi, I am currently in Iraq and face a lot of problem finding a good doctor. I don’t want to wait a few more months going home for treatment. I suspect i have low progesterone levels, i had blood work done 2 months back… it was 0.7nl/mg on cycle day 18. i went for a laparoscopic procedure the very next day where they did the dye test and ovarian drilling. Now i’m back in Iraq and it’s only been 2 months but the wait is killing me. I keep thinking I don’t ovulate properly and may be it’s cz of the low progesterone levels? I do bbt charting and mt temperatures are never high enough either. I confess I have never done bbt charting devotedly because the results discourage me a lot. I am slightly overweight, with a BMI of 25.9. Can you diagnose a good medicine for me? I’ve read about these progesterone creams. Do they need proper diagnosis before using? Can I get one without subscription? I really don’t want to experiment on my body but on the other hand, I want to try out all options I can safely do in these months of waiting to fly back to the US. Thanks!
