Best Ways to Get Pregnant After Depo

Did you use Depo Provera as contraception but now want to get pregnant? Find out the best ways to get pregnant after Depo.

Depo Provera can be a great contraceptive choice for many women. It allows them to not have to think about contraception on a daily basis, and makes it easy for them to go on about their daily lives without the worry of birth control weighing on their mind. However, many women worry about getting pregnant after depo and wonder if they will have a hard time and if there is anything they can do to increase their chances. It may take up to a year

One important thing to remember is that it can take a long time for Depo Provera to get out of your system. The average time that it takes for Depo to get out of your system is 12 months, and sometimes longer. It does take the body a long time to return to normal after Depo Provera shots, and it takes a long time for the Depo to get out of your system. There is really no way to “rush” the Depo out of your system, and no way to make it happen faster. You just have to give your body enough time to let it happen naturally.

Know your body

Since there is only a small window of time when you can get pregnant each month anyway, it might be helpful for you to learn how to track your ovulation or chart your cycles. This can be helpful in helping you know exactly when you need to have sex in order to get pregnant. There are many websites out there dedicated to help you learn how to track your cycles, and a ton of over the counter ovulation prediction kits available as well.

Talk with your doctor

Talking with your doctor is also a good idea if you are trying to get pregnant after your Depo shots stop. You might be able to have your hormone levels checked to see how they are. Doctors are also a valuable resource in telling you about their experiences and may be a great advocate for helping you in your journey to getting pregnant.

I was on the depo for 1 year and decided to stop so I could try to conceive, I just finished 1 month of birth control pills to try and regulate my cycle. I’m scared to stop taking the pill because i would normally have heavy periods so I don’t want to have to go through that. Last month I stopped taking my pills for the few day I was suppose to ovulate and had unprotected sex with my partner. After those few days I continued taking my pills. Can I get pregnant this way or should I stop the pills now?

I am just reposting a post i did on another site so i dont have to retype my whole story! Heres goes.. So I’m just looking for any advice to possibly help with conceiving. So let me start at the beginning. I am 22 years old, married, and a type 1 daibetic. My last depo shot was in April of this year, and I had been on the depo for about 6 to 7 years. My husband recently signed with the active Army and we decided in June that I was not going to go on any more birth control because we knew were going to want to start trying for a family in the near future. Well we soon found out he was going to be deployed, so that kind of put a delay on everything because being diabetic, I did not want to go thur my first pregnancy alone because of possible complications. Now just recently we found out his deployment has been canceled so that really put things into high gear to want to start trying well now because you just don’t know when a deployment will pop up again. So i have been taking folic acid for a little over a month now, and I started a dietary supplement called ConceiveEasy probably a week ago. On another forum I had heard great things about this supplement, of course the women talking about it werent just coming off the depo tho. Like I state in the beginning I got my last shot in April and I was due in July. I had a very light n short bleeding spert last month, prolly last 4 to 5 days with light (flowing), brownish-red discharge. (There was blood because while most of it was brownish there was fresh blood mixed in as well.) Now today I started a REALLY heavy flow. (Went thru 2 FULL super tampons and a half of one in just today alone.) I’ve been taking ovulation tests probably once a week since August and they all come up negative. I know I shouldn’t be impatient but I am.. I am only 22 and there is no rush, but my husband and I have hit that point in our relationship (although I’m young and we’ve only been married 2.5 years, we’ve been together for 7.5 years now) where we have a stable income, my health is the best it’s been since before I found out I was diabetic, and it’s just wanted. Does any body have some incite one what my body is doing? Was that my first period in August? Or is this it now? Do you think the ConceiveEasy supplements maybe helped the process seeing as I just started those about a week ago? If this is my first period when should I try a ovulation test? Has anybody had any luck with ConceiveEasy? And i know no one can probably answer this question but will my diabetes make it harder for me to conceive or will it just have more possible complications or both? Plz and Thank you to any and all advice or responses!
