Alchemilla Vulgaris – Lady’s Mantle

This female-friendly herb has been traditionally used for various feminine disorders for centuries thanks to its natural hormones and properties which help in adjusting the feminine hormonal balance. It is used to treat naturally impaired fertility, uterine fibroids, cervix disorders, irregular menstrual cycle, the absence of menstruation or excessive one, it strengthens the uterine walls and helps the labor process. Also due to its anti-inflammatory tannins and estrogenic flavonoids, it fights infections and pain of the female reproductive organs.

Achillea Millefolium – Yarrow

Used for centuries for a series of female ailments, this herbal remedy helps to restore the proper fertility status, because its curing properties are aimed at treating abnormal menstrual cycles and cramps, improving the blood supply by dilating the capillaries of the reproductive organs and toning the uterine walls; furthermore, its antiseptic ingredients clear out vaginal and urinary infections. The herb of choice for women, it helps achieve the appropriate ground for the implantation of the fertilized eggs.

Capsella Bursa-Pastoris – Shepherd’s Purse

Its multiple active ingredients are very efficient for excessive menstrual flows, thanks to its haemostatic and astringent properties and for restoring the normal function of the uterus. Also useful for muscle atrophy, Shepherd’s Purse is an effective treatment for bleeding fibroids, helping to fortify and tone the uterine walls, increasing the chances to conceive and maintain the pregnancy, by preventing uterine hemorrhages.

Glycyrrhiza Glabra – Licorice Root

This herbal remedy also increases and stimulates fertility thanks to its estrogen-like effect, which counteracts the harmful effects of xenoestrogens we are exposed to every day and creates a suitable hormonal balance for women wanting a baby.

Oenothera Biennis – Evening Primrose Oil

This herb has an excellent impact on fertility, as it helps to improve the condition of the cervix and creates a welcoming environment for the fertilized egg to develop in and women trying to conceive should use it up until the moment of ovulation.

The above mentioned herbs are just a few out of the plentitude of herbal remedies which nature gently, happily and altruistically yields with regard to women trying to conceive. Other natural herbal treatments for enhanced fertility include: Maca extract, red clover extract, rich in flavonoids and natural estrogens and raspberry leaf extract, all addressing different feminine medical conditions and reinstating the natural hormonal balance of a woman looking at embracing motherhood. Nature makes you an offer you cannot refuse if you wish to conceive.

Your fertility issues should be checked into before taking any drugs. I have had issues and I went to my OB DR and he told me its was hormone and stress issue. I did some things to relax and took some pills to help with my hormones and six months later I was pregnant. I would call and talk with them before you order. Who knows it could be something simple you can fix with no pills needed.

For many couples struggling with fertility problems, drugs are the first step in treatment. Millions of women are prescribed clomiphene and gonadotropins;Clomiphene works by stimulating hormones in your brain to get an egg (or several) ready to release from your ovaries each month, while gonadotropins stimulate your ovaries directly to produce an egg (or several). However to avoid health risk, I would recommend seeing your gynecologist before taking fertility drugs.

Primrose oil can be bought a local pharmacies and the natural vitamin section. The rest of the herbs can be bought at natural health food stores and some farmer’s market.

BTW…as a follow up to my last post…I was taking Clomiphene (Clomid) for 7 months with no positive results from it. In fact, every month when I had to take the 5 pills, I’d get a yeast infection from the Clomid…it was frustrating. I haven’t taken the Clomid for 2 months now, and haven’t had a yeast infection since. In fact, I never had a yeast infection ever, prior to the Clomid, that I can ever remember!

Since taking Clomid is not effective for you, you should try to consult your doctor for preconception check-up where you can request for prescribed fertility supplements. In this way, you can avoid the occurrence of infections and the risks of possible complications. A preconception check-up can also determine what particularly prevents your from conceiving and your chances of getting pregnant.

We did work with an infertility specialist this last spring, and found out that my problem with conceiving is that I have less than 5% healthy eggs. I am trying to find out if there are things I can take that help me produce a higher percentage of healthy eggs so my pregnancy chances are better? We are so down about this.

You might want to talk to your doctor about your hormone levels. Some women who conceive while on or shortly after coming off birth control but then miscarry early are experiencing a condition known as luteal phase defect, a condition which can be managed with medication.

    Hi Maureen,
I didn’t realize that by commenting on this discussion thread it’s findable in a Google search…my ex-husband Googled me and he came across this discussion thread and even though it doesn’t bother me that he saw it, it bothers me that anyone and everyone out there can read what I’ve typed on this thread just by Googling me. I have tried everything to delete my posts from this thread but I can’t. Can you PLEASE delete ALL my posts from the thread ASAP because this really makes me mad about such a private matter being available to find on me in a Google search. Thank you.
